SPF expands with Melbourne officeBusiness Intelligence opportunities drive demand for Victorian presence Sydney, 17 September 2004… SPF Asia Pacific Pty Limited, part of the global SPF business intelligence applications company, today announced the opening of its Melbourne office. In addition, industry veteran, Mr. Alec Jeffery has been appointed to lead and grow the Melbourne operation. SPF established a presence in Australia in 1996. Since then, solid growth in the business intelligence (BI) and business performance management (BPM) markets, plus an increasing number of Victorian-based clients have driven the demand for a southern region office. Current Melbourne clients include major organisations in the health, telecommunications and postal services markets. The company’s main focus is SPF Plus, a suite of business performance management (BPM) applications powered by the Applix TM1 OLAP engine. The six major elements of SPF Plus are: reporting and analysis; planning and forecasting; workflow; discovery; alerts and notification; and balanced scorecard. SPF’s target market is medium-to-large organisations that have a need for multiple budget iterations, fast real-time analysis of key data, and modeling. Alec Jeffery, general manager, SPF Victoria, commented: “Our vision for Melbourne is to build the business by growing license revenue and consulting services to the same level as our Sydney office within the next two years.
